What are some scary legends from your town and do u check them out?

I grew up in the Bronx, Marble Hill area. A man named Power was struck be many moving vehicles( Elevated train, city bus, taxi cab, motorcycle, police car, semi, moped) at different times and lived. The neighborhood kids were scared of him because he was quite crazy looking with bushy hair and crusty beard. He was also said to have been struck by lightning. The scary part about it was his ability to disappear and reappear like Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees.
