Getting induced next Thursday! Ladies, help ease my mind..?

I am getting induced next Thursday due to Hypertension I've developed during my pregnancy. I am so nervous; it seems so surreal that it's almost time! I don't know what to think, I'm not actually due until December 1st, but will be going into the hospital at 5:30 a.m. on the 20th and will be having her on the 20th or early on the 21st. It's just all hitting me now; I hadn't really thought of how scary it all seems until now. What did it feel like when you went to the hospital to deliver, did it all seem like a dream or something? That's what I feel like it will be like for me. Also, I am going to have to be there by myself for about 3 hours or so and that makes it even worse :( What can I do to relax? I want to bring things to keep me occupied, but I don't want to read just my pregnancy books; I'll end up reading about the labor process and get even more nervous, lol. What can I do to stay busy for the time that nobody is there with me? Thanks for the answers..
