Why not vote for who you want to and not risk being called a motherless dog in the process?

I am probably wizzing in the wind here, but what I would like to see is American's voting in the way that pleases them because our Constitution gives us this right and just stop all the mad name calling. I am able to be civil with my friends who are Republican and they are civil to me. It is one aspect in our lives that make us different and thank God there is so much more that makes us alike, like we both love the United States, to concentrate on. I don't hate anyone for their views. I may not agree with them but that is what freedom is all about. I do, however, hate the measure to which people will insult, degrade and tarnish each other over what they believe. What is next, stringing each other up over a difference in race or religion? We have had that in our history already. I tell you folks America has been in a long cold war over blue and red states and it is time to knock it off and just be Americans for once. I think John McCain is a great man, I do. I believe that he believes in what he says with all of his heart and what is wrong with that. I believe Obama is a man who simply wants to do what he believes is good for the country not take it over for his personal agenda. Good Lord. Do we listen to ourselves sometimes. Unfortunately no. We are too busy arguing.
